Instructions for straining, care, storage, and use of the tincture.

Use small pint sized ball jar. Combine the herbs with 2 ounces of glycerin and add 2-4 ounces of water depending on how high it needs to be to cover the herbs. Start with 2 ounces and see if you need to add more to keep the herbs below the liquid level. Add a fermenting weight or something that can weigh down the herbs ifpossible.

Keep the ball jar out of the sun in a cool place. Shake the jar everyday if you can to extract the medicine from the herbs. After 4-6 weeks strain the herbs through a fine mesh filter like a nut milk bag. Squeeze out as much of the liquid as possible. You can then do the optional double extraction process. Start by putting the glycerin mixture aside. Then add the herbs to 1 cup of water bring it to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes.

Then strain and combine with the glycerin that was set aside. There are some medicinal qualities that will come out from the glycerin (beta glucans) and some that will only come out by being decocted in water (poly-saccharides). After combining the water with the glycerin put the mixture back in the ball jar or put into dropper bottles.

Label with what herbs were used and put in a cool dry
place for storage. The tinctures extracted in glycerin will last for 2-3 years. Instructions for use- Add 1-2 dropper full into 6 oz. of filter water. Take 2-3 times a day.
