Turkey Tail Mushroom - Tincture

Ingredients:

  • Turkey Tail Mushrooms
  • Organic Non-GMO Vegetable Glycerin
  • Filtered Water

About Turkey Tail Mushrooms: Turkey tail mushrooms (Trametes versicolor) are one of the most common mushrooms globally, found on every continent. They typically grow on a variety of hardwoods and conifers. In New England, they are best foraged between August and October.

Identification Tips:

  1. The mushroom has lines in shades of brown, resembling a turkey tail.
  2. The top surface feels velvety.
  3. The underside is white with tiny pores.

Extraction Process: This tincture is made using the double extraction method. First, the mushrooms are extracted with organic non-GMO vegetable glycerin for about a month. Afterward, the extract is strained. The mushrooms are then decocted (boiled and simmered) for 45 minutes in filtered water, and the liquid is combined with the glycerin extract. The dual extraction process helps to capture a broader spectrum of compounds—triterpenes from glycerin and beta-glucans from water extraction—both of which are believed to support overall wellness.

Directions:

  • Take 1 dropper full (approximately 1 ml) twice a day.
  • Mix with 6 oz. of room temperature filtered water.

Size:

  • 1 bottle = 2 fl. oz / 60 ml
