Happy new year! We did our annual tradition of going to the waterfall on new year’s day. Many people are unaware of the origins of Halloween. Formerly an ancient Celtic tradition celebrating the final harvest, it was also a way to welcome the darker time of the year. Samhain (pronounced “SAH-win”) represents the midway point between the equinox and the winter solstice. It is also the time of year where the veil between worlds is at its thinnest.
